Early Childhood Music Classes

Very young children benefit greatly from an early childhood music program!

I offer a Suzuki Early Childhood Music Class for young childrens age infant to age 4. Listen more about this type of class in a wonderful podcast episode here.

Babies learn from watching others, toddlers gain tremendous skills, and children who are almost ready to start learning an instrument will be more well-prepared to start lessons.

Class duration is 60 minutes, which includes arrival/wash hands, and an unrushed departure.

• Or, your parent group may identify a weekday/morning time that is convenient for you.

• Tuition is $105 per month ($35 per class per caregiver/child pair). Up to five children per class. Two month commitment.

This Suzuki-based Early Childhood Music curriculum includes singing, chanting, movement to a pulse, and playing mallet instruments. We sing many short songs each class, alternating whole group activities with taking turns, and we end class with a few minutes of reading books. These activities are designed to develop a strong sense of pitch and pulse, the ability to cross the midline, a love of reading, and socio-emotional skills, all in a calm and focused environment. It is an active but serene class for both child and adult participation.
